  1. Hey hi, found your link via Janice of mostly blogging dot com. This is an awesome post, i look forward to exploring your posts. Happy 2016 to you and all yours, and ooooh, i have done all except No 8 and 13. Hahahaha, not funny. Cheerios.

  2. Glad to meet you at the blog party.

Great post! Here are my answers.
    1. Written a scathing blog post…? Yes, and published it.
    2. Written what you thought was an amazing blog (but it wasn’t)? More times than I can count.
    3. Had a bad day get a little better because of an awesome comment or higher than normal stats? ABSOLUTELY. 🙂
    4. Thought about meeting another blogger in real life? I did so. Live in Florida, flew to Bromont, Canada.
    5. Been talking to non-blogging friends…? Yes. It’s like being booed off the stage.
    6. Been in a situation and immediately thought, “I’m going to blog about this”? All the time.
    7. Checked your blog/blog stats first thing in the morning? Nope. I don’t want to start the day depressed.
    8. Had your writing or photography used without proper credit? Not yet. Don’t know what I’d do if it happened.
    9. Texted or emailed yourself a blogging idea so you wouldn’t forget? At least 1x per month.
    10. Written a great post then it just freaking DISAPPEARED from your dashboard! That’s why I generally write it first on Word.
    11. Gotten mad because…? It took a while to figure out how to use the “schedule” button. 🙂
    12. Wanted a new, fancy camera because of the photographs you’ve seen on blogs? Yes.
    13. Checked your blog stats more than 10 times in a day? No. See number 7.
    14. Gotten mad because posts you spent a lot of time…? That’s one of the mysteries of blogging life.
    15. Been doing real-world stuff with friends and family and thought, “I’d rather be blogging” Usually it’s “I can’t wait to get to my computer and blog about this.”

  3. #11: Yes! I swear, sometimes I hit “Preview” and it publishes. I’m way too careful to make such a mistake, so that’s not it…

  4. I am afraid I have to plead guilty to most and I am a new blogger at that! How did I develop these habits so early on, only 2 months in?! I know I have OBD (obsessive blog disorder) when I am already worried about moving to Egypt which has power cuts three times a day. How will I blog and teach too when I am fighting with electricity as well ???

    • “I’d rather be reading blogs than talking to you!” Bwahahahahaha. I’m not sure how I missed this comment by it is hilarious. I actually laughed out loud. 😀

  5. Haha, yes, yes, and double yes! Actually with this bloghop in particular, I had scheduled it, and about 30 mins after the blog hop was supposed to be live, I looked at my site, and to my horror it wasn’t there! Turns out I had scheduled it but forgot to hit publish lol…ooops my bad. Thanks for sharing!! #shinebloghop

  6. Oooops, I think my comment disappeared! Honestly that happens more than posts disappearing and it makes me crazy. I try to be as genuine as I can with my comments and it’s impossible to recreate a genuine response to a post. So although I lost my comment I will say YES to all of these, though I haven’t found any of my photography out there…yet.

    • I’m not sure what is going on with WordPress today. I noticed that several of the comments from WP users who own their own URL name are double posting. A few comments gone to my trash because of it. I have no clue what is going on. And it would happen on a day I’m getting more comments then normal. Cripes!

  7. Definitely yes to most of these. I don’t think anyone has ever used my photography, at least I haven’t seen anything anywhere. I check my stats every day, and I log them every day as well. I’ve also written posts about things that I don’t like and then deleted them because they were a little to angsty, sometimes it make me feel worse because I feel like I should post it to get it out there, but I don’t always want my dirty laundry out there for all to see.

    • I know how sometimes it’s nice to get things off of your chest and let it go. That’s one thing that is freeing about blogging. But it’s the dirty laundry that stops me too. Not from people virtually. I don’t want to deal with the real life stuff.

  8. This seriously made me LOL! I’m a new blogger and I could answer yes to almost all of these! Love your wit! Makes me want to meet you in person and laugh together! 🙂

  9. Hahaha… My beautiful post deleted randomly last night. I gave up completely and still haven’t attempted to rewrite it again. UGHHH!!! I need that mug btw! Totally awesome!

  10. Haha, this is great. So relatable. Sometimes the only thing that motivates me to do certain activities is the idea that I may get a blog post out of it.

I’ve been going through my archives slowly and re-editing old posts. Sometimes I cringe at previous entries. How did I miss that typo? Or why did I word things that way? Sigh.

  11. Amen to all of the above. I have no clue if any of my images have been stolen. I seriously doubt it though since that is still an area I’m working on improving.

Blogging is always on this families minds. Our friends and family just laugh and shake their heads at us. I like the cup!

  12. Yeah, um totally not me. I think you’re thinking of someone else dude. i was honestly just checking the time or uh, my work email, yes that’s it – work.email….

    Great post
    love brett fish

  13. 1 – Absolutely – aka letter-bombs!
2 – I generally don’t read old posts, but the few times I have I’ve been pleasantly surprised … ‘wow, did I write that’!
3 – Yep … and anyone who answers no, is lying!
    4 – I have a list
5 – Only if I know they might be contemplating starting one
6 – Been the genesis of some of my best posts
7 – No, apart from the basic stuff, stats don’t turn my crank
8 – No, that’s what big sticks are for
    9 – yes, and used post-its, etc
10 – No way. I write everything on a word document and C&P, and just do a bit of final formatting before I post
11 – Sometimes, but there’s always the ‘update’ option
12 – Nah, I’m aware of my limitations
    13 – See #7
14 – The ironeez – we love thems
    15 – See #9

    • Loved this. I working on worrying less about my stats. Not even sure why I care.

The only one I can honestly say no to is #8. #2 is a mostly no- I’m normally pretty pleased about my old posts, but Sweet Baby Jesus do I make a lot of mistakes. I’ve made peace with my errors long ago though.

That’s a lie. It still chaps my hide to see mistakes.

  14. Um, YES? Yes to almost all of these. The WORST is when you are in the middle of writing a post and something happens (I either X out of the screen by accident or my computer dies) and I lose it forever. Part of me is SO aggravated that I just want to give up, but the other part is like, “the idea is there…you just have to write it again.” AWFUL! Oh, and if anyone looked at the notes section of my iPhone they would be so confused – it’s just a bunch of jumbled notes and phrases and ideas that would make sense to NO ONE but me. Great post!

    • I don’t even get why I X out of the screen like a dummy.I get so mad at my self. I have a couple of drafts that made since when I was brainstorming but means nothing now. Example -> “That thing with JA and who knew”. Seriously, I’ve no clue what that means.

      And thanks for the compliment.
